RANGE IS NOW OPEN!

We now have a signed agreement with Maricopa County to operate the new range. First day of operation was January 3rd! We will be open EVERY Saturday and Sunday going forward. See the Location Page for directions.

Eye and ear protection required on the range.

Rifles, handguns, and shotguns using slugs are allowed on the range. No .50 BMG, and no buckshot or birdshot allowed. We hope to have a clay target area soon.

The facility includes two ranges. The main range has 40 tables with target distances of 5yds, 10yds, 50ft, 25yds, 50yds, 100yds, and 200yds. The training range has 40 tables with target distances of 5yds, 10yds, 25yds, and 50yds. We hope to have a clay target area and archery range soon.

This website is maintained by the Buckeye Sportsman Club and is used to market the shooting range.

THE RANGE IS OPEN ON WEEKENDS!

The Joe Foss Shooting Complex is owned by Maricopa County Parks and Recreation, and is operated by the Buckeye Sportsman’s Club.

Our world-class shooting range is a point of pride for the west valley.

Men, women and children of all ages and all experience levels are welcome. Trained line safety officers are on the firing line at all times to oversee safety and to offer informal coaching when needed.

Winter Hours starting January 3rd, 2009:

  • Saturday – 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday – 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday – Closed
  • Tuesday – Closed
  • Wednesday – Closed
  • Thursday – Closed
  • Friday – Closed

Summer Hours starting May 1, 2009: Beginning May 1st, 2009, the Joe Foss Shooting Complex will change to their summer hours of operation for the public. The new hours will be:

  • Saturday 7 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Sunday 7 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Monday – Closed
  • Tuesday – Closed
  • Wednesday – Closed
  • Thursday – Closed
  • Friday – 7 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
